Who Needs This
Hardware wallets are reliable until they are not. Firmware drifts out of date, screens develop dead pixels that make confirmation difficult, and devices that have travelled extensively may show signs of physical compromise. This inspection is for holders who want confidence that the device itself — not just the seed phrase — is fit for continued use.
What We Examine
- Enclosure integrity — Seals, screws, and casing for signs of opening or replacement
- Screen and buttons — Functional test of input and display under normal lighting
- Firmware version — Comparison against the manufacturer’s current release (informational only; we do not update firmware)
- Passphrase practice — Discussion of whether you use a hidden wallet passphrase and how you store that secret separately from the seed phrase
- Cable and accessories — Condition of USB cables and any adapters you rely on
What We Do Not Do
We never ask you to enter your PIN on our equipment. We do not connect your device to any network. We do not open the device casing. If we suspect tampering, we recommend contacting the manufacturer directly and document our observations in your report.
Pricing
₩220,000 per session. Pair with a seed phrase audit on the same visit for ₩350,000 combined (a ₩50,000 saving over separate bookings).
