Seed Phrase Audit

Purpose

Your seed phrase is the single most important document in your cold wallet setup. This audit concentrates entirely on that backup — how it was created, what it is written on, where it is stored, and whether it would survive a real recovery attempt.

Session Outline

We begin by confirming the word count and derivation standard your wallet uses (typically 12 or 24 words under BIP-39). You then reveal your backup in our presence. The verifier checks each word against a standard wordlist, notes any ambiguous handwriting, and assesses the physical medium.

Common issues we identify include thermal paper that has faded, metal plates with stamped letters that are difficult to read under certain light, laminated paper that traps moisture, and backups split across two locations where one half has been updated but the other has not.

Deliverables

You receive a one-page audit summary listing each word’s legibility status, storage medium assessment, and specific recommendations. If we identify a critical legibility problem, we discuss re-inscription options without ever asking you to create a new backup in our office.

Pricing
